SEMINARS
Physician Health & Impairment Seminars
MSSNY’s Committee for Physician Health offers no-cost CME seminars throughout the state. Seminar content is intended to inform the medical community about physician health and stress as well as recognition and identification of disorders which may lead to impairment.
Seminars will be conducted for groups of physicians at a time and location convenient to the group. Target audience includes attending physicians, fellows, residents, interns, medical students and physician assistants.
One hour of Category I CME credit is offered for each one-hour session. Shorter non-CME seminars are also available upon request.
Seminars can be used to fulfill educational requirements of the JCAHO Physician Health Standard 2.6 which requires education on issues of physician health and impairment, and ACGME requirement that residents in sponsoring institutions participate in educational programs regarding physician impairment including substance abuse.
